Shrine Maiden of Paradise

Four artworks later, I have finally completed my fifth entry in my Touhou fanart marathon...


...the protagonist herself, Reimu Hakurei.

She has been the main protagonist of Touhou since the first game, Highly Responsive to Prayers, and has pretty much been that way through the years, though with a few notable exceptions (notably Shoot the Bullet and Double Spoiler, in which Aya Shameimaru is the protagonist).

As the miko of the Hakurei Shrine, she has been called forth numerous times to investigate/resolve various incidents around Gensokyo involving either local youkai or newcomers from the outside world that threaten Gensokyo's harmony... as well as hunting down those who destroy her beloved shrine at certain points.
