A closer view of my Shooting Game Historica Vic Viper T-301 and Metalion gashapon replicas.

The Metalion appears in the MSX Gradius 2/Nemesis 2/Nemesis '90 Kai game, and is the successor to the original Vic Viper, with permanent weapons upgrade capability.

The Vic Viper T-301 appears in Gradius V (as well as in the CG movies of the "Gradius III & IV" compilation); it is the latest Vic Viper model produced by the Gradius forces in the year 8010, and is the first model shown to have time travel capability.

Maisto, the creators of the Tailwinds line of toy planes should bring Shooting Game Historica to the states!

Damn! I wanted these, but they are ALL SOLD OUT everywhere! Guess I might as well get the model kits. :(

Ahh, great Gradius models. But the Vic Viper has been my main favourite. :)

I know, right? :XD: Being the poster mecha of Gradius, the Vic Viper has become an icon unto itself. :D

And also, the Metalion has mostly been pretty much obscure since it was only featured in one rather obscure but notable Gradius game - Gradius 2 for the MSX, a.k.a. Nemesis 2 and Nemesis '90 Kai (Sharp X6800 remake). ;)

I also don't know that aircraft though. So never mind, the key icon has always been the Viper as always. :)

The one in Sky Girls is actually a forward-swept wing model, and it also comes in many different color schemes (a homage to Gradius Galaxies, perhaps?).

Maybe they should've also featured the Lord British, the Jade Knight, and the Falsion/Falchion Beta as well. :XD:
